Adividuals #2; Dylan Hughes

Dylan Nimdok Gorrister Hughes is a maggot of a man. I have known this posturing pantomime of pestilence since I was but a young lad, we grew up only yards away from one another. After spending the lion's share of our formative years apart, we met well once more at the University of Winnipeg, in Literature & Film class. The title of this tutelage was to foreshadow our future friendship. Through distracted discussion in this class we bonded over art, beginning with literature and film and expanding into music, graffiti, and all inspired creation that crossed our paths. Despite the detestable nature of this derelict, this irreparable impression of existence, he and I are brothers. Not of blood, but bond. Together we have entered the business world, establishing our own advertising agency, Rain Dog Creative.

Dylan's areas of interest lay largely in creative works, much as mine. In our younger days I expected him to be a director when grown, his knowledge and appreciation of the film industry have both impressed and infected me. Beyond that he and I have shared the odd adult beverage, of course with the utmost responsibility. He's expressed endless appreciation for the spot below. The wit in the writing, the six-and-a-half minute tracking shot, the product endorsed. The spot below is one of the best ads of I've ever seen, and Dylan Hughes is one of the best people I know.

But he's also a tool.
